Raspberry pi gateway problems with sd

Did you field test the gateway? Did you have any problem? I ask them because with the raspberry pi it usually has problems and you have to restart it very often. This is because micro sd cards are not designed for this use (read and write several times) and often cause problems. it is better to use an ssd card.

Hi, yes, we have several RPI based gateway running outdoor, in an adapted casing with PoE. It’s working fine. Can run several months without any problem.

As @cpham2 said, we tested with SD card and it works with good reliability. However, your suggestion on SSD drive is interesting, it’s on our list of things to test :slight_smile:
